Payment Options

Paying for Charlotte Home Care Services

“How can I pay for the home health care services that I need?” This is one of the top questions we receive from potential clients and family members who are searching for in-home care services for loved ones, and it can be an ongoing source of stress for many families in our area. At Comprehensive Home Care, we want to make the payment process as easy on your family as possible. That’s why our home health care team works closely with all our clients to help them fully understand every payment and coverage option available for our home health services.

The following are some of the payment options our Charlotte home care clients use to pay for care:

Self Pay or Private Pay

At Comprehensive Home Care, we accept cash, check, auto draft, debit or credit card payments. We are even able to accept payments through PayPal for your Charlotte home health care services.

Long-Term Care Insurance

We accept payment through certain long-term care insurance plans. Depending on the terms of your long-term care insurance, we can either set up direct billing for the home care services with the insurance company or submit billing for your reimbursement.

VA Benefits

The Veterans Aid and Attendance Pension provides benefits for veterans and surviving spouses who require assistance in eating, bathing, dressing and undressing, and other personal care needs. There are certain eligibility requirements that need to be met in order to qualify for Aid & Attendance benefits. The Comprehensive Home Care team will be happy to work with you to help you navigate the eligibility process.

Medicaid Services

Medicaid Personal Care Services is an income-based program for which you must meet strict criteria in order to qualify. Clients wishing to use Medicaid to cover home care services will have to apply for Medicaid at their local Department of Social Services office. If you are already on Medicaid, you can contact our staff for the paperwork your primary care physician will need in order to submit to the state assessment entity.

Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults (CAP-DA)

The CAP-DA program allows elderly and disabled adults to receive home health care in Charlotte as an alternative to nursing home placement. If you are interested in applying for CAP-DA home care services, please call us and we can help you with the paperwork.

Community Alternatives Program for Children (CAP-C)

The CAP-C program provides multiple services to children who are medically fragile and need home care services as an alternative to an institutional placement. If you have a medically fragile child in need of home health care in Charlotte or the surrounding area, please contact Comprehensive Home Care for more information about this program.

Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT)

The EPSDT Program is the child health component of Medicaid. It’s required in every state and is designed to improve the health of low-income children, by financing appropriate and necessary pediatric services. EPSDT is a mandatory set of services and benefits for all individuals under age 21 who are enrolled in Medicaid. In order to receive EPSDT services, you must apply for Medicaid services for your child. If accepted, your child’s physician must request an evaluation from the state Medicaid nurse. Our staff has the necessary forms needed to apply for EPSDT and we will be happy to assist you with this process.

At Comprehensive Home Care, we understand that finding and paying for the right home care services for your loved ones can be a difficult process, but we are with you every step of the way.
